Everything, host were amazing. Breakfast delicious, room historic and comfortable.
Patrick is the best! He is very kind and makes you feel at home. Also, this was the best breakfast I've had staying at any hotel/inn/bed and breakfast--highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. Very unique and fun place to stay. Large room with a comfy bed.

We enjoyed meeting Patrick-he was a very gracious host.
The house was easy to find. Ample amount of parking. There were lots of suggestions for food and activities located on the sign in table. Pat was extremely kind and gracious. He sat with me and chatted while I had breakfast. *which was delicious* The resident dog was sweet and quiet overall. The room was throughly cleaned. As a germaphobe that reads all reviews, it pleased me to see FRESH linens (and a comforter) on the bed upon arrival. As well as freshly laundered towels in the private bathroom. The home is tastefully decorated. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and secure. The location is about 5 mins from my son's college, which was great as we had traveled a far distance. I now have a new home away from home when I visit my son in Elizabeth City.
Patrick the owner was a wonderful host. He’s done a fantastic job in appointing this residence which was originally built in 1798. He also did his utmost to accomodate all of our special requests. Our room was spotless and our bed was even more comfortable than our bed at home. I would enthusiastically recommend this bed and breakfast.
